Two conscripts have reportedly died in Russia’s Sverdlovsk region in the last week, according to Russian news outlets.

According to Russian State Duma deputy Maxim Ivanov, the head of the region’s mobilization effort, one of the men complained on the evening of October 10 that he was experiencing heart problems. “His heart stopped. Doctors revived him four times, but, unfortunately, they weren’t able to save him,” said Ivanov.

The other man, identified by the news outlet 74.RU as 27-year-old Maxim Rodionov, died at a military base in the village of Yelansky, according to Ivanov. Journalists noted that reports of his death first appeared on social media on October 8. Ivan said that military authorities are investigating Rodionov’s death.
